Cliftonville man flown to hospital by Kent Air Ambulance after falling from second floor window

An elderly man has been flown to hospital after plummeting from a second floor window of a house in Cliftonville.

The 78-year-old man fell from the window of what is believed to be a care home in Second Avenue, Cliftonville, and landed on a flat roof below.

The man was flown to King's College Hospital's major trauma unit in London.

He suffered serious injuries including to his upper leg and stomach.

The fall happened just after 7.30am.

Kent Police confirmed the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) will be investigating.
