Emergency services in Northdown Avenue, Margate

A large-scale incident is underway in Margate tonight.

Police, paramedics and the fire service have been called to Northdown Avenue, Margate.

Reports on social media suggest a man fell unwell and needed emergency help.

It is thought Kent Fire And Rescue Service used its height vehicle to help remove the man from a first-floor flat.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "At 5.40pm on 11 November 2017 Kent Police attended an address in Northdown Avenue, Margate to assist fire and ambulance crews with a medial related incident" but were unable to release further details.
