Funeral today of Natasha Sadler mum at centre of Canterbury murder inquiry

Family and friends will pay their last respects to Natasha Sadler today, the mum at the centre of a double murder inquiry.

Natasha Sadler was killed two months ago on a Canterbury housing estate, alongside Canterbury fishmonger Simon Gorecki.

Natasha, 40, grew up in Margate and attended Drapers Mills Primary School before moving to Hartsdown.

Her funeral route will revisit the places she loved in the area, starting at her mother’s home in Cowley Rise before moving through Cliftonville and passing the Lido building, then travelling to the crematorium.

Speaking to KentOnline, mum June said: “It has been a really hard time, nobody ever expects to lose their child and she was taken far too young.

“People have been asking us when the funeral is going to be but we have had to say we didn’t know. Now we will finally put her to rest next week.

“She used to absolutely love the Lido and spent a lot of time there."

Many attending the funeral are expected to wear green today - Natasha's favourite colour.

Her mum said: “Natasha also loved green so we would like people to wear a little bit of green on the day.

“She also loved her Kermit the Frog toy and had it since she was two years old.”

Foster Christian, 53 – who lived at the same address as Mr Gorecki – has been charged with their murder.

He was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of murder and two of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He is likely to stand trial this year.
