Margate: Third arrest made over assault at Sundowners Wine Bar

A third arrest has been made in connection with an assault at a seaside bar.

Police were called to Sundowners Wine Bar in Albert Terrace, Margate, to a report of a disturbance at 2.30am on Sunday.

Two men suffered injuries and were taken to hospital.

A 19-year-old man from Margate and a 22-year-old man from Birchington were arrested on suspicion of affray on Sunday.

The 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, and both have been released pending further enquiries.

A third man from Margate, aged 23, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of affray and has been released while the investigation continues.

Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
