Girl rescued from cliff ledge in Dumpton Gap Road, Broadstairs

A teenage girl was rescued from a cliff face this evening after she became stuck on a concrete ledge.

The drama unfolded in Dumpton Gap Road, Broadstairs, at 6pm after the 14-year-old found herself in trouble near the promenade.

Fire crews used a 20ft ladder to reach the girl and led her to safety, where she was checked over by ambulance technicians.

It is not clear how she became stuck on the ledge.
