Girls aged five and three taken to hospital after falling onto rocks near Birchington

Two young girls are in hospital after falling from a wall and onto rocks near Birchington.

Paramedics were called to Minnis Bay at 2.45pm yesterday.

The Kent Air Ambulance landed in a nearby field and the crew helped at the scene.

A three-year-old was taken by road ambulance to the William Harvey hospital in Ashford with a head injury.

The other girl, who is five, suffered a leg injury has is being treated at the QEQM in Margate.
