Margate: Event dates to reveal Dreamland hotel plans confirmed

A computer generated image of what the proposed hotel at Dreamland could look has been released.

The 120-bed 'lifestyle' hotel has been put forward as part of a £50 million investment into the site by its parent company Margate Estates.

It is planned to take a vacant space on the seafront.

Plans for it will be unveiled at community drop in sessions at Dreamland next week.

As well as this, it will be a chance to meet the senior team at the park and to talk about a long-term vision to bring more visitors and investment to Margate.

The two events will take place in the Grade II listed ballroom at Dreamland, and members of the Dreamland team, as well as the project team working on the hotel, will be on hand to talk about the proposals with members of the public.

Aidan de Brunner, of Margate Estates said: “Dreamland and Margate Estates are part of a town-wide effort to reactivate this unique seaside destination. We want to work together with residents and the wider community to bring more visitors and investment, creating more jobs and opportunities for Margate.

"We are looking forward to discussing our part of this vision, and how we can work together to achieve more for Margate.”

The events will be on Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12 from 4pm to 8pm.
