Margate: Man charged with seven burglaries and two thefts

A man has been charged after seven burglaries and two thefts took place in less than a month in Margate.

Alexsandar Risov, 33, of no fixed address, was charged yesterday with seven offences of burglary, and two further offences of theft.

The first burglary took place on July 29 in Love Lane, Margate, followed by a burglary on August 17 in St John's Road, Margate.

Two more burglaries were reported in Hastings Avenue, Margate, between August 18 and 22, another took place on August 19 in Walpole Road, Margate, and the final one happened in Eastern Esplanade, Cliftonville, on August 22.

A theft from a motor vehicle took place on August 4 in Market Street car park, Margate, and in Addington Street, Margate, on August 2.

Risov appeared via video link and has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
