Ramsgate: Kevin Jones, 29, of Ramsgate, charged with attempted rape

A man has been remanded in custody after being charged with offences including a string of sex attacks.

Kevin Jones, 29, of Ramsgate, is accused of attempted rape, two sexual assaults, two counts of GBH, two assaults, aggravated vehicle taking, driving dangerously and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

It comes after two women were hurt after they were allegedly knifed at around 6.30am on Wednesday, December 27 in Roman Road, Ramsgate.

Emergency services were called to the scene after a car crashed into a nearby house.

Jones appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court via video link on Saturday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, January 26.
