A man has died after falling under a bus in Ramsgate Road, Broadstairs.

The accident happened at around 8.30pm last night.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

Police Constable Jamie Woodhams from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said the 79-year-old local man got off the bus in Ramsgate Road.

But, just as it pulled away, it's thought he stumbled and fell into its path.

Police from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are calling for witnesses.
