James McDonald appears in court after Broadstairs stabbing

A 29-year-old has man has appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court following an alleged knife attack in Broadstairs.

James McDonald, of no fixed address, appeared via video link after he was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and arson.

He was remanded in custody and ordered to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, October 24.

Police were called to the incident in Albion Road, Broadstairs, at 7.50am on Wednesday.

A woman remains in a serious but stable condition in a London hospital. A child was also injured, but has been released from hospital.
