Man in hospital with stab wound and head injury after alleged assault in Millmead area of Margate

A young man has suffered a stab wound and head injury after an alleged assault in Margate.

The 26-year-old was taken to King's College Hospital, in London, following an incident in the Millmead area shortly before 8pm on Wednesday.

His condition is understood to be stable today.

Police were called by the South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent air ambulance also attended.

The man was taken to hospital by road under the care of the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) team.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and information. The suspect is described as a man of mixed race, possibly in a silver saloon car, with two men described as Afro-Caribbean.
