Man arrested after shooting in Margate with gas-powered air weapon

A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a row in a Margate street ended in an air weapon being fired.

Police were called to Bath Road in Margate at 4.45pm yesterday, following an argument between two men.

A firearm was let off in the street, and armed police sealed off several roads while they investigated.

The injured man was shot in the leg, but suffered just bruises and didn't need hospital treatment.

Police seized what is believed to be a gas powered air weapon.
