A man has been flown to hospital with multiple injuries after plunging from a cliff in Broadstairs.

Emergency services were called to Marine Drive, Botany Bay at about 6.30am.

Police, ambulance crews and the fire service as well as the coastguard went to the scene.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment for multiple injuries.

An ambulance spokesman said: "At 06.39 this morning we responded to a call to a man who had fallen from the cliff with an ambulance and our Hazardous Area Response Team.

"The man was treated on scene and then flown by the air ambulance to Kings Hospital in London for further treatment."
