Kent Police appeal for witnesses after stabbing in King Street, Ramsgate

An air ambulance took a 25-year-old man to hospital after he was stabbed in Ramsgate.

Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance at 3.53pm in King Street yesterday.

The road was closed from the Alma Place turning to the Sussex Street turning.

The victim was taken to King’s College Hospital with thorax injuries and discharged after receiving treatment.

No arrests have been made and Kent Police is appealing for witnesses.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “Kent Police was called by SECAMB at 3.53pm who reported a 25-year-old man had been stabbed in the back.

“He was approached from behind by a group of five men aged around 20. We understand he has been taken to a London hospital but his injury is not thought to be life threatening."
