Fire crews freed a man after he was left trapped in his car following a crash.

The accident happened in Margate Road, Broadstairs, at the junction of the A256 and A254 near Westwood Cross.

Firefighters worked with paramedics to lift him with a spinal board and move him to an ambulance after he was freed using hydraulic equipment.

There were no other reported injuries.

Crews were called just after 10.15am and the scene was cleared shortly after 11am.
