A man's body has been found near the site of a Thanet academy.

Police were called to the Royal Harbour Academy in Marlowe Way, Ramsgate, earlier today.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 10.36am on Saturday (May 26) to a concern for the welfare of a man in Ramsgate.

"Officers attended Marlowe Way where the body of a local man was found nearby.

"The man’s death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be completed for the Coroner."
