Margate: Police make second arrest after Kevin Sampson found dead in Victoria Road

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter after Kevin Sampson was found dead in Margate.

On Thursday, February 1, officers were called to Victoria Road at about 10pm where a man was found lying on the pavement.

Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Mr Sampson, 44, from Minster in Ramsgate was identified and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of his death.

A homeless 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and theft on Thursday, February 8.

The 46-year-old man from Margate who was arrested on Tuesday, February 6 is also now being investigated on suspicion of manslaughter and theft.

Both men have been released pending further enquiries.

Detectives would like to know where Mr Sampson was between midday and 9.45pm on the day he died.

They are urging witnesses, or anyone who knew him and has information on his movements that day, to come forward.
