Motorist dies after hitting wall in George Hill Road, Kingsgate, Broadstairs

A man in his late 20s was declared dead at the scene after his black Citreon Saxo crashed into a wall last night.

Kent police released an appeal for information this morning following the incident in George Hill Road, Kingsgate, at 11.35pm.

Officers were initially called by a member of the public to North Foreland Road where the car had hit a garden wall.

The driver continued and a short time later, crashed into the second wall about two miles away.

Paramedics attended but the driver, who was from the Margate area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next-of-kin have been informed.

The road was closed for a number of hours while officers from the serious collision investigation unit examined the area.
