Delyth Andrews, allegedly murdered in Ramsgate, gives evidence at trial of brothers Josh, Adam and Scott Knight

A woman allegedly murdered by three brothers has spoken from beyond the grave today.

Delyth Andrews, 54, was found injured in her home after it was claimed the three performed wrestling moves on her.

But before she died last year, a police officer recorded an interview with her while she lay on her back at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital's accident and emergency department.

Today, that video – filmed using a body-worn camera - was played to the jury at Canterbury Crown Court in the trial in which Knight brothers Josh, Adam and Scott have all denied murder.

She was asked by the police officer: “What happened then?”

Ms Andrews: “They kicked me in the back"

The officer: “Any reason why they would do this?”

Ms Andrews: “I don’t know, just showing off I think.”

The officer: “Who done it then?”

Ms Andrews: “Josh, Adam and Scott.”

As she lay in pain she told the police how Scott had broken her mobile phone earlier when she threatened to call the police.

"So basically, we’re all equal as his own, as our own person... I shouldn’t have done it" - Scott Knight

In November she claimed she was in bed when the three punched, stamped and kicked her.

Later the jury saw a video of Scott Knight being interviewed by police about the attack.

At first, he denied being at the house in Lorina Road, Ramsgate – claiming the three were away for the evening scoring an illegal high called Insane Joker.

He said he believed Ms Andrews was “putting it on” claiming she kept asking him for “roll-ups”.

He was asked by the detective if he had punched, kicked or stamped on Ms Andews and denied it, adding: “I don’t know, seriously I don’t know”.

But then he was told by the officer that Josh had given a different account of the evening.

He was asked who was telling the truth and he didn’t respond.

The officer said: “Are you telling the truth?”

Scott answers: “No. I was at home.”

The detective: “Okay, why have you lied to me then?”

Scott: “Because it’s... it’s them whose, whose getting me into s***, yeah.”

He claimed that Josh had started jumping on Ms Andrews followed by Adam and then “then they’ve influenced me into starting to jumping in, on, on to her. But I’m not jumping, like where her pelvis is.”

He said in the interview that his brothers - who he describes as “divvy b*******”- were jumping on her chest “thinking it’s funny".

“Then obviously flipping her onto the bed... then nearly bouncing her off the edge of the bed.”

During 40 minute interview, he describes, sometimes laughing as he does, the wrestling moves.

“Yeah I think it was something called a move called FU, like 'cos they kept on doing it the other day, something called the FU... then it's like two people where they grab her head like that (and he demonstrates the move) and then obviously they lift her up... and they whop her back.”

Scott then goes on to describe the “T-bone” wrestling move - claiming: “It winds you... it don’t, like, hurt you in any way”.

He told the officer: “I know that move does (take away your breath) ‘cos I’ve seen it on UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

“I did mine downstairs, Adam done his upstairs. Josh done his I think downstairs... and then it was rainbow flip and then FUs and that was it," he said.

He also laughed as he described the “cliff-hanger” where “you do the splits, you just jump in the air, you go whop.”

Ms Andrews died from her injuries after being taken to a London hospital. Police found the wooden slats on her bed broken.

Scott said: “So basically, we’re all equal as his own, as our own person... I shouldn’t have done it.”

Scott, 23, Adam, 20 and Joshua, 19, all of Lorina Road, have denied murder. Joshua and Adam offered guilty pleas to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The trial continues.
