Police release e-fit and CCTV image in connection with Ramsgate distraction burglary

Police have released an e-fit of a woman they would like to trace in connection with a distraction burglary which victimised an elderly woman in Ramsgate.

The woman, in her 80s, reported answering the door to a middle aged female, asking her if gardening work was available.

The victim soon realised her handbag - which contained cash, a bank card and other personal items - was missing from her home.

The burglary took place on Thursday, March 30 between 12.30pm and 5pm in Northwood Road.

The woman was described as being white, aged between 40 to 50 years old, with a spotty complexion and wearing a red jacket and grey leggings.

Officers have also released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to who was in the area at the time and may have information that could help them with their enquiries.
