Power outage at Dreamland in Margate leaves people stuck on Big Wheel

Thrillseekers at Dreamland today were left stranded on the Big Wheel after a power outage.

The electrical failure caused the park's 35metre high Ferris wheel, known as the Big Wheel, to grind to a halt as well as a number of on the ground disruptions.

Officials were forced to close the site for almost an hour while engineers evacuated people off the ride and the fault was rectified.
