Held in London’s 8 Northumberland Avenue, 300 manufacturing bosses heard how Cummins has improved shop-floor productivity, delivery times and customer service.

The firm – which employs 600 staff at its 137,000sqft site – was also recognised for its investment in overseas trade.

Plant manager Marco Carini said: “The whole team has been working towards this goal as part of our five-year strategy to make the Kent plant world-class in all aspects of operational excellence.”
