Margate man, 19, suffers broken jaw when he is punched in the face three times during row at The Royal pub in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate

A shirtless man suffered a broken jaw when he was punched in the face by three different people in one evening.

The 19-year-old victim says he was outside The Royal pub in Ramsgate and was trying to calm a shouting woman down when she hit him.

He then went inside the pub and was involved in a row with a large group of people. He claims he was again punched in the face.

Shortly afterwards, the victim claims he was again assaulted by a white man dressed in a dark coat with a hood, dark clothing, a white collar and dark trainers with white soles.

A group is said to have gathered to watch the drama, and at one point, the topless victim was seen waving his belt around.

The injured man, who is from Margate, needed hospital treatment to his jaw.

The attacks happened after 1am on Friday, November 21 but details have only just been released.

Detective Constable Vanessa Law said: "We know that there was an aggressive altercation between the victim and a large group with lots of onlookers, so there would have been lots of witnesses.

"The victim was also seen to be waving his belt around while shirtless.

"We would urge anyone to come forward so that we can piece together the sequence of events."
