Colour, crowds and music were enjoyed in Margate on Sunday as the carnival wound its way through the town.

Brazilian dancers, decorated vehicles and costumed characters were accompanied by bands and cheering crowds greeted each of the fun floats.

There were floats from clubs and organisations across the Island, including Margate Football Club, and the procession was led by 438 Thanet Squadron.

See this week's Thanet Extra for more pictures of the parade and spectators.
