Margate: The Britannia in Fort Hill to host open mic night for The Voice

If you fancy your chances of being 2018's The Voice winner, head down to Margate next month.

An open mic night for next year's season will be held on Sunday, May 7 at The Britannia, Fort Hill, Margate at 5pm, searching for singing sensations.

But after auditions for the X Factor at Dreamland last month saw a poor turn out, will many turn up?

Only a handful of people turned up to showcase their talent in front of the show's producers on Monday, March 13 after a crowd of would-be singers was expected to descend the seaside town.

Open mic nights are being held all over the country for the singing competition, including two other Kent dates.

Talent scouts will be at open mics nights at The Chequers Inn, Tunbridge Wells tonight from 9pm, and will be visiting The White Horse in Maidstone on Sunday, April 30 from 8pm.
