Tornado spotted forming over Kent by onlooker in Broadstairs

Onlookers have spotted what appears to be a small tornado forming over Kent today.

Locals have been shocked to see what resembles a twister appearing over Broadstairs.

Residents have been taking to social media to discuss the sighting of the funnel cloud.

A funnel cloud is made up of condensed water droplets that technically becomes a tornado on contact with the ground.

The tornado-like cloud was spotted over Broadstairs at 10am today by Guy Underwood.

Several other similar clouds have been reported forming over Kent over the past few weeks.
