By KentOnline reporter

Vandals have caused damage running into thousands after targeting a bike shed and smashing windows on a minibus at a school.

Police were called just after 7am today to Newlands Primary School in Ramsgate.

When officers arrived they also found that the bike shed had been damaged and all the windows on the school mini-bus had been smashed.

CCTV at the children’s centre on the same site had also been damaged, but it seems nothing was stolen.

PC Jason Hills said: “We have conducted enquiries and we believe three men were seen in the area, all wearing dark coloured tracksuits.”

“This was a mindless act of vandalism, costing the school thousands of pounds so we would appeal to anyone who may have seen anything to get in touch.”
