Police appeal for witnesses after young woman found unconscious in Hereson Road, Ramsgate

A further appeal for witnesses has been made by police after a woman was found unconscious is Ramsgate.

It was reported that a woman in her 20s was found in Hereson Road near to the corner of St David's Road at about 4.20am on Sunday, July 2 by four members of the public who were travelling by car past the area.

They took the woman to a local hospital where she was checked over.

No injuries were reported and the woman is no longer in hospital however officers are trying to establish the circumstances of this incident and determine whether or not any offences have been committed.

Detective Constable Sam Culpin said: "We would like to thank everyone who has come forward so far. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police can still get in contact.

"In particular we would like to speak to a man who was seen to get into a taxi which already had two passengers - a man and a woman - at around 4.15am at a petrol station in Hereson Road.

"He got a lift to the Vale Square area.

"We believe he could be a potential witness in the area that night who may have valuable information which could assist our enquiries."
