Police investigating rape report in St Mary's Road, Minster

A woman is reported to have been raped in a late-night sex attack in Thanet.

The victim was said to have been assaulted shortly before midnight in Minster.

Detectives have launched an appeal to find two members of the public who may have seen her in distress in St Mary's Road between 11.30pm and 11.50pm.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and exact location of the offence on Friday, March 30.

Investigating officer PC James Fox said: "We are particularly keen to speak to the two members of public who were in the area at the time.

"They may not have realised an offence had taken place but we believe they may have seen something which seemed small at the time but could help us with our investigation.

"I would encourage them, or anyone else who believes they have information, to call us on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/16418/18.
