Woman airlifted to hospital after falling from window in Ramsgate

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling around 33 feet from a Ramsgate property.

Emergency services were called to Chatham Street in the town after she plunged from a window.

Crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service had to winch her from the basement of the house.

She was flown to a London hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Kent Police said officers are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called at around 1pm yesterday.

Chatham Street was closed while emergency workers carried out the rescue.
