Good causes invited to apply for Chandlers community cash

John Galer

Chandlers Building Supplies in Margate and the Thanet Extra are delighted to announce the launch of our fantastic new Community Fund project, which aims to help and support local charities, projects and organisations.

The Chandlers team will be giving something back to the community that they have been a part of for the past couple of years by giving away £500 every month for the rest of the year to local organisations who need a bit of help.

Perhaps your community garden needs a makeover, your school needs some new sports equipment, your charity needs some extra support or your playgroup needs some new toys - whatever your cause, we would like to hear about it.

Each month three nominations will be printed in the Thanet Extra for the readers to vote for which one they would like to receive the donation that month.

John Galer, Branch Director at Chandlers commented: "There are so many fantastic organisations and charities around the area that deserve some extra support and we would like them to come forward and tell us how we can help.

"To give the campaign a great start, for the first month only we will be awarding the chosen group a fantastic £1,000."

John continued: "The Community Fund is something brand new for us and we are all so excited about how the money that we donate will be able to help local projects."

Charities and groups can nominate themselves by writing to Chandlers Thanet Community Fund, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP or by emailing chandlersthanet@pmwcom.co.uk.
