Paul Merton is to make a return to
stand-up for the first time since 1999, and has picked Margate's
Theatre Royal to preview his new show, Out of My Head.
Discover the bizarre workings of
Paul’s brain, as he muses on the mighty behemoth that is his
noggin.
He returns to his stand-up roots for
the first time this century, and jokes that he will be stepping out
from behind the Have I Got News For You desk to prove he’s got
legs.
Comedy fans can expect night of
sketches, music, magic, variety and dancers.
Stella Kanu, the theatre’s audience
development manager, said: "It's great that Paul and his team see
the potential of our theatre space as being perfect for intimate
warm-up gigs before kicking off a major tour.
"Getting to hear the material first
and at a recession-busting £13 is a double bonus for Margate.
"The prices are 45% less than full
tour price tickets later in the year."
Paul Merton’s Out of My Head is on
March 16 and 17 at 7.30pm.
