Plan B and Jessie J to headline Sound Island Festival at Quex Park

Plan B and Jessie J are to headline the Sound Island Festival in
Thanet this summer, we can exclusively reveal.
The stars will be joined by singers Rita Ora (pictured right),
James Arthur, Lawson and Union J for the two-day festival at Quex
Park, in Birchington, in July.
Rapper Plan B - real name Ben Drew - will headline on
Saturday, July 27.
The 29-year-old singer rocketed to fame after his
most successful album to date, The Defamation of Strickland
Banks, went straight to number one in 2010.
Other acts to perform alongside the She Said singer on the
Saturday will include Rita Ora, whose debut album Ora reached
number one last year, and X Factor winner James Arthur.
Singer Jessie J, 24, will then headline the festival
on Sunday, July 28.
The Do It Like A Dude star, who is also known for her role as a
judge on the BBC talent show The Voice, has a music style mixing
soul vocals with contemporary R&B music.
Plan B - aka Ben
Drew - will play at the Sound Island Festival
Concert-goers on the Sunday will also be treated to performances
by boy band Lawson, who rose to prominence supporting The Wanted,
and X Factor semi-finalists Union J.
Sound
Island Festival spokesman Dion Clements said: "Plan B and
Jessie are both in such demand we're thrilled they're coming to
headline the Sound Island Festival this year, it's a great coup for
fans of the artistes and Sound Island audiences in general.
"With guest appearances by Rita Ora, James Arthur, Lawson, Union
J, and of course with more details of additional performers to be
announced, Sound Island Festival 2013 is set to be the biggest and
best yet!"
