Harry Hudson, seven, from Westgate, gets a comforting hug from his mum Katie as he recovers from his ordeal of being bitten by a dog.
A young boy was attacked by a dog when he was riding his bike home along a cycle track across fields between Westgate and Garlinge.
Harry Hudson, seven, who was out cycling with his father Kevin during Sunday (December 29), has been left badly shaken with a bruised right leg after the animal made a lunge for him as he waited for it to pass on the narrow pathway across fields.
His mother Katie has launched an appeal on social media network sites to track down the people who were walking with the animal, thought to be a black bull terrier that was not on a leash.
She has also reported the attack to Kent police who are investigating the incident which happened around 4.30pm.
Mrs Hudson said the people with the dogs were in their 30s, a stout man with dark hair and a blonde woman.
