Super-fast speed stackers at St Peter’s junior school are the swiftest in Thanet and heading for a county showdown.
Youngsters at St Peter-in-Thanet Church of England School, Broadstairs, will fly the district flag at the Kent competition.
The latest success for the Thanet champs came at an inter-schools speed stacking contest held at St Laurence-in-Thanet School, Ramsgate.
Their challenge was to stack 12 specially designed sport stacking cups in predetermined sequences as fast as possible in sport that lends itself to individual and team competition.
Speed tacking promotes hand-eye coordination, ambidexterity, quickness and concentration. The world record is about seconds to stack in a 3-6-3 sequence.
The victorious team was made up of Millie, Annalise, Adam and Rafe, from years 5 and 6.
