The road has been blocked off by police and two houses have also been sealed off.

Detective Inspector Tristan Stevens said: "We are still obtaining full details of this incident.

"We are appealing for witnesses and ask anyone who may have seen the disturbance, or events leading up to it, to call Sittingbourne police station on 01795 419161."

The gossip grapevine tells me that the fight was caused by overcrowding of at least one house which is being sub-let by a non-british person. If you have only one bathroom and one kitchen, and share with people who hate each other, there is bound to cause trouble.

    Violence in Sheerness.

Sheerness, Sittingbourne, the UK in general. The police do their best with the resources they have. Then the courts of law hand out slapped wrists.
Until our society gives the police genuine powers without having to worry about various 'Rights' groups breathing down their necks, it will only get worse.
