Making sport work for the community was the thinking behind a workshop organised for Islanders.

Sport Makers ran the event at the Sheppey Healthy Living Centre, off Royal Road, Sheerness, to teach people how they can get others to be more active.

The workshop was based on the Olympic and Paralympic values and provided participants with ideas on how they can make sport happen.

The 20 who attended received Adidas polo tops and could be in with a chance of winning tickets to the Games once they’ve organised or supported 10 hours of sport.

The national Sport Makers programme is run by Sport England and funded by the National Lottery.
