Boy, 12, airlifted to hospital

A 12-year-old boy has been airlifted to hospital after being hit by a car.

The accident happened in Rushenden Road, Rushenden, at 7.55am today (Wednesday).

He was taken to King's College Hospital in London with suspected leg and pelvic injuries.

A police spokesman said his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
