A21 shut south-bound after crash between lorry and cars near Tonbridge

Police have reopened the south-bound A21 Tonbridge bypass after a crash between a lorry and two cars this morning.

A man and woman were taken to hospital following the accident, at around 4.45am.

The road was shut south-bound while emergency services attended the crash site near Tonbridge, and while vehicles were recovered.

Kent Fire and Rescue crews were called to release a man who was trapped in one of the vehicles.

The stretch that was closed runs from the Morleys roundabout heading towards Tunbridge Wells.
