KM wants to see photos of rubber ducks left by a mysterious person in random locations around Tonbridge with notes of kindness and money

A mysterious, kind-hearted person has been leaving rubber ducks in random locations around Tonbridge.

Some have notes of kindness attached and others have small plastic bags with quantities of money in.

The yellow ducks have been left in areas including the High Street attached to small plastic bags and ask those finding them to spread the love further.

Matt Sargent who lives in the town discovered one in the High Street with a £5 note. A piece of paper attached read: "I'm a duck and I have a present for you. Why not buy a coffee or treat yourself."

It added: "Keep me in your pocket, and when you can, put something else under me and hide me in town for someone else to find and benefit from your kindness. Lets be nice. Go be nice"

Others have taken to social media to say they found ducks scattered around town some with as much as £20 attached.

Neil Mitchell also made a discovery on a wall by the closed Castle Pub in the High Street. It had £10 and a note inside the small plastic bag.

Sarah Hammersley and her seven-year-old son Lewis stumbled across another duck near the High Street.

Miss Hammersley said: "Lewis found the duck with money attached to it near his boxing class. I read him the note that came with it and he decided he wanted to attach some money back on it's "botty bum bum" and put it somewhere in the town.

"I really hope someone poor finds it, he is such a kind boy.

"Thank you Mr anonymous duck person for your kindness."

The Kent Messenger has identified seven people who have found the rubber surprises but the generous present-giver is yet to be identified.
