Firefighters tackle caravan fire in Churn Lane, Horsmonden

A dumped caravan was stuffed full of rubbish and set on fire in a country lane.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to Churn Lane in Horsmonden just before 7.30am.

They wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to extinguish the flames.

The blaze was out by 8.07am but crews remained to damp down and turn over the debris until around 8.15am.

The vehicle was full of waste, including old tyres and was completely destroyed by the fire.

Investigators believe it was deliberate.
