Tonbridge: Crews rescue German shepherd from River Medway at the Slade

Firefighters were called to rescue a dog from the River Medway at Tonbridge this afternoon.

The 11-year-old German shepherd was trapped in the water near Tonbridge Swimming Pool at The Slade just after 12.40pm.

Crews in dry suits rescued the stricken pet and brought it to safety by 1pm.
