Redundant doctor's surgery in Church Lane, Tonbridge, could be turned into a new five bedroom home

A former doctor's surgery in Tonbridge could be turned into a new home.

An application submitted to Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council seeks permission to turn the redundant surgery in Church Lane into a five bedroom home.

It is listed Grade II and requires careful consideration of the impact of the works required.

The site is located at the eastern end of Church Lane adjacent to the St Peter and St Paul’s churchyard.

It is situated in a small residential enclave with residential properties both to west and to the south.

The building is 18th century, three storey timber framed with weather-boarded ground floor with access to both Church Lane and the churchyard.

Concerns have been raised about the listed building's relationship to the character of the conservation area, internal and external alterations and car parking as there is currently no provision on site.

A decision will be made by the council in January.
