Graffiti on Southeastern train at Tonbridge station

A train pulled into Tonbridge station last night looking a little more colourful than usual after some of its carriages were targeted by a graffiti artist.

A passenger captured these colourful images of the Southeastern train arriving just before 5pm and tweeted the rail operator to jokingly praise the new colour scheme.

Twitter user @TheBigAngryOwl wrote: "Loving your new corporate image. Just pulled up at Tonbridge."

The person operating Southeastern's Twitter account appeared to see the funny side but vowed to get the graffiti removed.

They responded: "Oh dear! What time did this arrive, I'll raise this to have it resolved."

It is not yet known whether the carriages have been cleaned or how long the train ran for with the graffiti on the side.

A Southeastern spokesman said: "The train will be cleaned when taken to the depot.

"We would ask anyone with information about this incident to contact the British Transport Police."
