Priory Road, in Tonbridge, was closed after a van became wedged under the railway bridge.

A wedged van closed a Tonbridge street for two hours last night.

Priory Road was shut by police after the vehicle became stuck under the railway bridge.

Patrols arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the call at about 7.20pm.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The route was closed while the vehicle was removed and so Network Rail could assess the bridge.

It was declared safe and reopened at around 9.50pm.
