Woman taken to hospital after crash near West End Tavern in Marden

A woman was taken to hospital with head injuries after a crash in Marden yesterday.

Police were called at 8.29am to West End following reports of a collision between a lorry and a car, reported to be a Saab 9-3.

It occurred near the West End Tavern and South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The woman injured in the car was treated by ambulance crews and taken by road to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "The woman was concious and breathing and was taken to hospital for further treament."

Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
