A window was smashed in the kitchen to gain entry to the house, and various electrical items, jewellery, and cash, were also taken.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jerry Chapman said: "I am very keen to track down the person responsible for this incident, but also to reunite the victim with the medals earned by her late grandfather that are of high sentimental value."
