Tunbridge Wells: Grosvenor and Hilbert Park awarded Green Flag

Grosvenor and Hilbert Park in Tunbridge Wells has been awarded a Green Flag, the borough council say.

The St John's Road open spaces joins four others which have retained their accolades in the scheme which celebrates parks managed in an environmentally sensitive and sustainable way.

Cllr Jane March, cabinet member with responsibility for the parks said: "It’s marvellous that all the parks have kept their Green Flags and that we’ve added Grosvenor and Hilbert to the list.

"I am grateful to the parks team, our contractors and of-course the support of the various Friends groups as none of this would be possible without their fantastic help."

In 2006 Dunorlan Park in Pembury Road and The Grove in Berkeley Road received their first Green Flags. Woodbury Park Cemetery got its first flag in 2008 and Calverley Grounds in 2015.
