Man trapped in car after crash in Grange Road, Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells

A man became trapped in a vehicle following a two-car crash in Rusthall, near Tunbridge Wells.

The crash happened in Grange Road at 4.15pm on Saturday.

Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to remove the roof from the car and free the man.

He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said this morning.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews stabilised the vehicle and made space for paramedics to access and assess the casualty, before assisting with removal of the injured man to a waiting ambulance."

The man was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Pembury, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said this morning.

No one else is believed to have been injured.
